BALLOONS-RESIDENTIAL COURIER DELIVERIES

With most residential deliveries, we attempt to call the residence and coordinate a delivery time, ensuring that someone will be home to accept the order. We will call a few times to try and make contact with the recipient. If we are unable to make direct contact we will leave a call back number. We are unable to proceed with delivery until contact has been made. This may result in a delivery being made later than was scheduled. We try to be very discrete in and not give away the surprise, as to what is being delivered. Please be sure to have a few contact numbers if possible ie. cell, home, business. The sooner we are able to make contact the better chance of ontime delivery. In some cases, extenuating circumstances may result in the delivery being attempted without first calling. If no one is available to accept the delivery, the balloons will be left if there is a safe and hidden location which makes this possible. If it is not practical to leave the balloons, a tag will be left on the door advising the recipient that a delivery was attempted, or a message to this effect will be left on the recipient's phone. The order will either be redelivered or the recipient will be directed to pick up the balloons at our local retail store.

APARTMENT DELIVERY
In many high-rise apartments and other facilities with restricted access, we are usually required to leave the balloons with a receptionist. We will attempt to leave a message with the recipient advising that a delivery has been made and is ready for pick-up. Once the balloons have been delivered to the receptionist, we consider the delivery complete.

Parcels cannot be delivered to a P.O box address. All orders must include the following recipient information:

  • Full name (ensure correct spelling please)
  • Physical Address including postal code
  • Company Name if applicable
  • Phone number of recipient

Your address must include a physical street address, highway number etc

HOTEL DELIVERIES
For security reasons, we are unable to deliver balloons directly to the room of a guest. All hotel deliveries for guests are left with the concierge, the front desk, or the loading dock, depending on the hotel's policy. Once the balloons have been delivered to one of these locations, we consider the delivery accomplished. Customers sending balloons to hotel guests are encouraged to contact the hotel to confirm that the balloons have been transferred to the guest by the hotel.

HOSPITAL DELIVERIES
Latex balloons are banned from all hospitals due to latex allergy liability issues. For hospital deliveries, send Mylar balloon arrangements only

SAME DAY DELIVERY
Same day delivery is avaible to local London addresses only if your order is received by 10:00 a.m. EST. If for some reason we are unable to process your delivery due to high volumes or store closure it will be posted on our
"HOME" page. Please check prior to placing your order.

LOCAL COURIER BASKET DELIVERIES
Our local courier will make a delivery to the address provided. If the recipient is not home they will leave the parcel in a covered area of the home if possible. If not possible to leave they will take it to a neighbours house. If no delivery is possible it will be returned to Great Canadian Gift Baskets and we will contact you to see what you would like us to do. If unable to deliver the applicable cancellation policy will apply. Subsequent attempts will also be billed accordingly. You can leave instruction for the parcel to be delivered only upon phone contact to ensure recipient is home. There have been instances where the recipient is on holidays or an extended time away from their home. Please try to ensure that your recipient will be available so that unnecessary fees are not incurred.

NON-DELIVERY POLICY
The customer is responsible to supply correct shipping information. Should there be any error in address information and a package cannot be delivered the customer is responsible to pay a 15% restocking fee for gourmet baskets plus $10.00 administration fee per basket. Fruit baskets and balloon bouquets cannot be refunded and full charge will be applied as these items cannot be resold. All shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. A credit will be issued minus the applicable charges. If you would like us to make a second attempt there will be a second shipping fee charge.

CANCELLATION
Once an online order has been placed and credit card payment processed there will be a $5.00 administration cancellation fee per order, plus the applicable restocking fee of $15.00 per order if order is in assembly.     

Although we try our best to meet the designated date for Gift Basket deliveries, late deliveries due to strikes, bad weather and vehicle breakdowns are not the responsibility of Great Canadian Gift Baskets.  No refund will be processed for late deliveries for these reasons.

LONDON AND LOCAL AREA RATES AND PROCESSING
London orders received later 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard time will be delivered the next day, some special circumstances may apply. If a same day rush is requested (call in only) then rush charges will apply.

Delivery rates fluctuate during heavy holiday seasons ie. Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and Christmas due to local courier rate increases.

OUT OF AREA: GROUND & EXPEDITED
Outside delivery rates to the United States are available upon request of non-food items or you can go to "Gift Porto Express" on the bottom of the left navigation bar for local delivery of gourmet baskets in the United States.

Delivery rates are based on the package size and destination. The rates are calculated through an automatic online shipping program that will quote your shipping price during your order process. Ontario & Quebec, 2-5 business days ground delivery; balance of Canada 3-6 business days for ground delivery You can choose Expedited, 1-2 business days during non holiday season, parcel delivery and the rates will adjust accordingly.

We try to deliver on requested date of delivery, however, our delivery program doesn't calculate weekends. Couriers do not deliver on the weekends, therefore, please calculate the given delivery time from Monday - Friday.
